Youth Development
The club is very keen on developing the young players within the town. In 2008 alone, there were 90 children in schools in the Rugby area who were taught Gaelic Football as part of their cirriculum. Yet despite this, the club doesn't as yet have any official Junior teams. Junior players often have to travel to Coventry to play Junior Football for some of the bigger, more established clubs. This only serves to highlight the need for development.
Currently we coach approximately 10 children of varying ages once a week from Spring to Autumn on our Boughton road pitch. They often travel to Birmingham or Coventry for coaching days organised by the Warwickshire GAA County Board.
The club is currently looking to develop proper facilties for Junior and Senior teams with regards to changing facilties, and pitch development. If your children are interested in playing the game or having a go at it, please see the contact page for details on training dates and times, and coaching days. Also, if you are interested in coaching or getting involved with the club at any level please don't hesitate to contact us.
